Top Speed Muffler

Does anyone have a Top Speed muffler or something equivalent on a 2.5 Boxster? I know drone is an issue with this set up on the cars with two sets of cats. I also see a lot of guys saying that replacing the second set of cats with test pipes cuts down on the drone. I guess what I am wondering is, since the 2.5 engines only have one set of cats how bad is the drone?

I had that setup in my car and found it to be tolerable. The Top Speed gives the 2.5L a nice throaty sound. The drone on the freeway is noticeable but I could live with it.

With that being said, its hard to say how much drone is too much drone - everyone's tolerance is different. The best advice that I can offer is to find someone local who has this setup and get a ride in their car and experience it for yourself. You might like it or you might hate it.

Thanks for the reply stone. I think there is a local guy that has this set up. The only problem is the 4 feet of snow around here. I don't think there will be any sports cars out on the road for a few more months . I was planning on tracking him down in the spring to check it out.
