Thanks PW, I did do that just now and I couldn't really see anything. It is dark in there and I don't have a flashlight with me. Looks like I will have to drive home as is and take things apart there.

I raised the spoiler and I can see that one of the tabs on the spoiler is under the frame instead of over the frame if that makes sense. Not sure how that happened. On that side the spoiler is closer to the tail lights than the other side but it doesn't appear that there is any interference. I should be able to loosen the spoiler and just pop it back over.

There is a motor that drives two cables to raise or lower the fin. Sometimes, simply lubing the mechanism fixes the issue. Other times, you need to replace the drive assembly.

I took that whole plastic piece off to paint and put it back on. You might want to source new plastic "rivets" (don't know the technical term) towards the front of the spoiler first, since they don't appear to be reusable after you take it off...
