Pads that have slot for wear?

Hi,

I'm trying to do a brake change and wanted to know if all pads that are supposed to fit have a wear bar slot? I don't know exactly how they work but on my old Mercedes, the wear bar went into a slot on the pad. Looking for a reasonably priced brake replacement with similar specs to stock.

I've had Redstuff and Hawk HPS on my other cars, and trying out Akebono as well. What are some options on the cheaper side but still offering OEM (or above) performance?

Will be flushing as well, any quirks with that?

Many of the high performance & track oriented pads don't have holes for the wear indicators. My Hawk HP+ don't have them, so I tied the indicators up, out of the way.
For stock performance at a good price, try the Mintex pads.
