Cracked clutch fork replacement

I had to take the car to a shop (eww) to diagnose the clutch pedal not hitting the floor suddenly, and it being hard to get into gear while the car was running.

It wasn't the slave so they pulled the trans and found the notorious broken clutch fork (and a nice bald clutch with a flywheel that had more burns than Freddy Kruger's face...so thats why it shuttered so much).

For the new clutch fork, is there a revised part (similar to the coolant cap nonsense)? Is my new clutch and fork combo gonna crap out in a few thousand miles? Do they crack because of old age? (~96k on the original clutch/fork).

Thanks
