21 (twenty-one only). When I see one I go crazy lol

(collector's choice already here)

It is a great feeling, isn't it. When I was stationed in Korea, I was 1 of 4 Mitsu Evo VIII's in the country. Sometimes it was so easy to find where I parked; it was where the crowd of people where. Evo 8 + white + fluent in Korean = fun times.....

Right now I see 1. It's in my garage on my lift. Been there since before Thanksgiving. Normally in the spring summer and fall there are 3 in my neighborhood, and maybe 6 in the small town near me (Dillsburg). I'd say I see 1, 986 and 1, 987 every day when its warm. On a good day maybe 4-5.

I live in an area multiple Porsche dealers 1- 15 miles (Mechanicsburg Porsche Audi), 1- 40 miles (******************************** Lancaster) 2- 80 miles (Porsche Tyson Corners, Knopf Automotive) 4-more around 110miles (Arlington Porsche, Porsche Cochacken, Mainline Porsche, Bucks County Porsche)

South OKC/Moore area. Theres a few Boxsters, countless cayennes, a few 996's, a 991, and I've also seen like 1 964 911. Theres a black 987, several silver 986.1's, 2 yellow 986's, a red 986, and thats about all I can think of. I don't see them too often.

But I definitely do feel like I've got something special. There's more P-cars out there than you think, but you really have to look for them. Most of them aren't daily driven like I daily drive mine. the only thing that sucks is not being the only Porsche at your highschool. Of course there was a white 981 before I got my 986:(

I'm not on the road too often but here in Chester County PA I see maybe 1 or 2 Boxsters per month on my back and forth route to work (40 miles roundtrip) and on the occasional weekend drives.

More 911's than Boxsters. What still amazes me is the timeless design of Boxsters and 911's. Especially the early generations. Every time I see a Boxster or 911 I'm drawn to follow with my eyes till it's gone.

I probably see one other 986, one 996, and three or four late model Porsches a week. I very rarely see 987 or 997.

I've got a red one! It'd be cool to meet up sometime

My office is smack downtown Toronto in the financial district. I'm amazed at the amount of Boxters and P-cars in general in the winter......and in the summer, I counted 12 one day while outside having lunch. From my parking spot at work i can usually see at least 3 Boxters, 2-3 Caymans and another 3-4 911s i don't even count the flurry of Cayennes!

Redboxs 02-03-2015 01:46 PM

If I am working in Edmond (an upper income suburb) I usually see at least 5 or 6 p-cars. Maybe a Lamborghini, almost always a Maserati or two. I saw a Mclaren last week. It's strange, yesterday I saw two P-cars (a 987 and a 981). Today.. none. Well, unless you count mine in the garage :p

So one of you guys is the red Boxster I see occasionally. (maybe both).
And who owns the mango orange 987 with the black wheels and top that I see floating around NW OKC? It's definitely unique looking.

I even saw a black 993 Monday cruising in the Deer Creek area. That's probably only the third one of those I've ever seen in person.

Did you happen to be stopped on the side of the highway a month and a little bit ago? Saw a red 986 on the I-35 shoulder near the Indian hills road overpass

Lol! Yes. That was when my driver side axle came off after eurosport replaced my clutch. That was a bad day.

My three favorite local p cars. Had to grab pics of all 3. The top two are owned by the same guy. Sadly I only see the Carrera gt at shows and in the service lane, seems reliability isn't perfect.

dghii 02-04-2015 04:15 PM

There are a few in our little town. I notice the cars but I'm not surprised when I do.

Heck three of the local Boxster are ones I've sold to buds!
