Feeling Stupid

New owner here, feeling reallllly stupid. I've been doing a lot of reading and searching and also bought the Bentley manual. I want to look up the shop manual process for replacing the AOS (I managed to figure that short form out), but in the Service Manual, there is no listing for an Air Oil Separator. Not in the engine section, not in the emissions section, and not in the index. Can someone enlighten me what it might be called in the manual, or what section to look in?

The Bentley, while very good in many areas, has very little to none about the AOS.

The best guides for that are the 101 Projects guide:
Pelican Technical Article: Boxster Air / Oil Separator Replacement - 986 / 987

Pedro's garage guide:
Replace the Air/Oil Separator

And there are several good threads in the DIY section on this forum that have updated steps, shortcuts, etc..

Steve

Edit: here is one of the threads from the DIY forum:

Many thanks Steve! I guess I was thinking a 2" thick Service Manual would be a comprehensive guide, especially on something like that. Thanks for those links.\
