Dead Battery '00, what electrical connection to use?

I have a buddy with an '00 Boxster S, he has a dead battery and unfortunately he does not have the red pull out section inside his fuse box to hook a jumpbox to. Anyone know exactly how to (short of pulling fender well, tires are too close) hook up a jump box to get enough juice to pop the hood?

Alternatively, I suppose he could use one of those cigarette lighter charger adapters, a company called Deltran makes a product called "Battery Tender" and makes a cigarette socket adapter for it that you can just plug into the wall at the other end. I think if he leaves it plugged overnight, he should have enough juice to pop the frunk, maybe even enough for a start.

Thanks amitmishra4. I spoke to him on the phone and he employed a jump-pack with a male to male lighter connection. Unfortunately he was limited on time and had to return the borrowed Jump-Pack. Will try it later with more juice for a longer period hopefully. There is no power source where the car is being stored.

My cable levers have gotten "stuck" in the lock position with dead batt. Not sure if it's normal.

OP: your friend needs to apply 12V+ to both sides of fuse C3 and 12V- to a good ground (door catch). With power connected, close the doors, then lock and unlock the car using the key (not the fob). The levers should now be unlocked

I've heard that a simple 9V battery will do it, but I've never tried.
