[QUOTE= there was a product out (by I think a Swedish company) that did something like that but can't find a pic anywhere anymore so most likely no longer available.
/QUOTE] http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1419947195.jpg That Reiger wing looks like the Gemballa wing http://www.gemballausa.com/images/ae...TER_S_12_s.jpg http://www.gemballausa.com/images/ae...B_GT_neu_s.jpg Gemballa USA Not sure that's sold anymore, either. -T |
That Reiger wing looks pretty cool to me. It looks like the base of it must fill up any gap between the wing and the trunk lid pretty well.
Does anyone have a current link for this? or has this site gone obsolete? |

Can't get the site link to work in "shop" mode though. |

otherwise, I think particle and nine8six should get us a fluid987/porschemesh style rear spoiler for our cars. simple and adds a lot - very whale/ducktail-ish. if you want to get more complicated, the 996tt or 981 style might be fun. OR, maclaren style - changes orientation based on speed/braking. |
This is not Reiger, this is Rieger Tuning.
Rieger Tuning is a german tuning company; not swedish. http://www.rieger-tuning.de/shop/ima...t/00099810.jpg http://www.rieger-tuning.de/shop/ima...00099810_2.jpg RIEGER Tuning Aktionen, Online Shop, Katalog, Videos und mehr Regards from germany Markus |
And all that time I was convinced to be the only one in-the-world to have those blacked LED taillights
 |
The idea of a modern super car style spoiled that lifts and adjusts based on braking or speed.
How about some pagani style flaps? |

AKL  |
That's hawt (the wing), rest of the car is kinda...eh
And the comment I was talking about was deleted, probably why it seems like I'm a bigger ass than I really am. Quote:

Seriously, it was a seller on ebay named "Crazy the God" or something like that. They are made in Taiwan from the same manufacturer of those cool looking LED headlights you see around. The taillights were about $180 for the set if my mem is good. Perfect fit, 3 years later and only one burn LED... but luckily they are easy to replace (the assembly can be disassembled in 2 min) Haven't seen them advertised for a while. Sad cuz they do look good (to me anyway). Heard many times that they are way too "busy looking" by the other Porsche guys I play with (they are just being jealous lol) |
Love the red Dectane tail lights. Sadly, I haven't been able to find any for quite a while. :(

Dectane all the way! I got the all blacked out ones, meanest looking tailights. So much happier with that purchase than with my MK2 headlights

You tryin to say something about my '99?

Only if it's got dectane tail lights:barf: The Boxster's shape is timeless- anyone who doesn't like it is so screwed up!
|
^ lolllll hmmm
Almost forgot about this spoiler below. Any composite artist on this forum who could revise the trends of the 986 spoiler? think we need s'thg NEW! I'd love to hear or see what friend Charles had in mind for his http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1420069086.jpg |
They don't change the shape, haha! :D
Yep, I like them and will have them (the red ones). Best looking tail lights for the 986 ;) OEM looks too old... :p |
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder- even tacky crap that's oh-so -last century. Incidently you both have a superiority/ inferiority complex so I'm not at all surprised that you've found each other. Oh and just because you both grew up poor doesn't mean you're any less than anyone else. So be good and keep up the good fight;)

Yea on the TL, with you on that... they are pretty cool. I'll check with the chaps around here if I can locate a set for you |

Been looking on and off for over a year, now. |
Nope, at the end it wasn't the coffee (finest Columbian imported). Shown below quote to a few friends visiting today and they reassured me that it wasn't the coffee lol Definitely something for both of us to be concerned one said :/
so... which one you take/want? The superiority complex or the inferiority one? I'll let you chose first cuz I pretty had both pretty mixed up myself since many years now LOL Oh and let's see that spoiler, please Quote:

Here you go, happy New year!! I think this is what you are looking for:
In black too: Probably marked up because of the low supply. I really want a set of led taillights for my Boxster too but $300+ is too much. The horror! Maybe I'll end up buying the depo. |
Particlewave,
These are exactly what you are looking for: For the low price of $1,349.99. at least the shipping is free. Quote:

^ That is too funny :D
Thanks for the links! I've contacted websites and ebay sellers and it seems the red Dectane lights are in short supply for the time being, hence the ridiculously high ebay price (that guy doesn't actually have any, so he sets the price high enough that no one will buy). |

Hey there's some 90's tech LED tails for sale on Craigslist under Vancouver BC, Dec 27. And quite affordable at $175 all in! He's in Chilliwack and a real switched on dude. Get the crap outa BC please!
His no. is 604-819-1228 Brad I could scoop them up and sell them for more but as long as they're out of BC I'm happy. Oh and he's been trying to pass the junk off for a year or more! You guys have no clue about style- really |

Moving on...
Fred, your spoiler looks pretty nice. One of the better I've seen. I have some sketches on paper, but still need to do some foam mock-ups before buying the fiberglass. |
Don't feed the troll!

I love the "Subaru Powered" with the Recaro seats, then the roll cage topping it all off. So impure. --------------------------------- What a thread! All it needs now is mention of felines and a comment about IMS upgrade options. |

Unstable stuff.... Stay safe there bro Almost forgot, Happy New Year to you there |

From a spoiler thread, up to taillights, down to calling ppl "screwed-up" for chging their car's shapes (read totally unrelated), on a new year eve.... beat that lolll |
The weirdness is definitely out today. I'm going to call it an early night ;)
Love and peace to all, even our woodsy! :) This world would be a boring place if we all shared the same tastes/opinions. |

I like that.Where did you find that? |
Quote:
I think suncoast, I got one for my previous car that said boxster. I'm not entirely sure though as this one came with the car. |
Any spoiler added to a Boxster will someday be removed. This is because the car's shape doesn't invite additions. When you add something on top of a gracious curve it's like a wart begging to be seen. Good design never forgets the whole picture and controls what takes center stage and what takes a back seat. To the uneducated eye, shall we say, within the realm of the mundane, the latest addition always looks swell. Enduring beauty doesn't have 'additions', think Jaguar E-type, Porsche 904, 901/911, 928, Ferrari 599, Chrysler 1934 Airflow etc.. These cars were complete when they left the factory and were designed by real pro's. On the 986 notice how the body curves under all the way around the car. It's details like this that make a car what it is. So before glueing a piece of plastic or fiberglass on take a step back and imagine it's affect on the 'whole'.
Of course, you may now proceed doing what you were going to do...:ah: |
