Just rolled in for clutch/IMS...

Dropped the Box off this morning for new clutch, and the 'while-its-in-there' trio of IMS/AOS/RMS. I opted for the LN Single Row Pro. All oil changes since I've owned it have been debris-free.

I was not a proponent of proactively upgrading the IMS on its own (I've had it for 2 1/2 years, 10K miles), even though I was allegedly in the 'highest risk' category of a 2003 single-row with low mileage (35K in it's first 8 years). But since I plan on keeping this car a long time, I decided to give it the upgrade as a Christmas gift.

I'm considering doing the same thing. What is the cost going to be?

Yes I'm curious about the cost also.

I was going to have done at some point.

IMS/RMS/Clutch kit and associated stuff like oil change.

$2500 by my mechanic off the books

Will PM you the estimate and final cost if you would like. I had other lower estimates, but the difference was not enough to sway me from using a trusted and respected indy that does a lot of Porsche work.

Thanks. While checking the car in, the shop owner happened to walk over to the window and said "Is that Seal Grey? Is that yours? Love that color." He then proceeded to go outside and walk around the car a few times. Kinda makes you feel good that your nearly 12 year old car stands out in a shop that had two 911 SCs, a fly yellow 996, a 997 and a few other exotics within 20 yards of it.
