Random Alarm

I am having an alarm issue and I hope you can help. Last week my alarm went off for no apparent reason. All was good until today and this morning after parking and locking the door with my key (remote has never worked with the car since i got it) the alarm went off shortly after. Unlocked and locked the door again and all was fine. Tonight again after parking in the garage the alarm went off by the time I was 50 feet from the car. Any ideas of what the issue is?

Good luck. I disconnected the alarm from the horn. No more problems.

I've had this problem twice. The First time it was dampness (rain) under the driver 's seat (alarm control thingie). The last time it was the wire for the radio anti-theft had grounded out onto the radio chassis. I Just clipped the wire and problem solved! Who would steal this pos radio anyway?

Thanks for the reply. I am guessing either the radio ground because I had an aftermarket put in a month ago or I also read in one of the other posts I found about the center console not being closed all the way and of course, I was playing with it the other day.
