And it still goes on today. I have several divisions here, where different employees make things happen. The 914 and 356 engines were my first, today a Raby aircooled engine costs more than a Boxster engine that makes 200HP more.

I say stuff a nuclear reactor back there in the engine bay to be different. That's about the only thing that hasn't been tried on those 914s. There is so much you can do with them! I think the best bang for the buck is the Subaru engine/trans combo followed by the LS1/930 trans. There's nothing wrong with keeping it stock either.
