Paranoia

Just washed the car, after washing steering felt very light, took car for a dry off drive, drove fairly hard, no more so than usual, everything felt great as ever, steering still being oddly light but it felt good from it.

Get back and with windows down as pulling into garage I hear a second rattle, easily defined as separate from my cat rattle. Brake and the rattle is gone, move forward more and the rattle is back. Parked the car a minuet and went back to investigate, started car up and idle dropped very low after the initial rev, even close to stalling, but only on a bounce, then steadied out, put the car into reverse and once moving the rattle was back. Brake and rattle was gone. Pulled forward and rattle was there once the engine power was moving the wheels. I then depressed the clutch fully and rolled back, no rattle. The rattle is coming from the back of the car, likely back left and is in tune with the engine, yet it is only present when rolling.

Any suggestions, am I crazy? Also started the car a third time to be sure and idle was normal then.

Will check more in the morning from a cold start and see what I find, I'll be ready to record it and post if I get anything peculiar.

Dry your car, cabriolet top, wheels, calipers, and rotors with a leaf blower after washing.

Concerning the rattle: Have you had your front motor mount replaced yet? I had some odd rattling and motor vibration when mine was shot and needed replacement.

Now the idle issue may have something to do with the fact that if your intake is desnorked, you got some water spray up in the intake and it got near or on the MAF...

Just some thoughts for you to process.

No desnorkle and noticed that the issue now seems to be gone, If I remember correctly PO said motor mount was replaced, but that is what I thought it could possibly be, I'll keep an ear out in the future.

I have very similar issue. After some thorough investigation I discovered the Heat shield on the right catalytic converter pipe was not attached and spinning freely. When going over bumps or high revs it would rattle loose and keep rattlling until it found a sweet spot and be quiet until it was dislodged again.
