Windshield Wiper Knob....removal

Ugh...I feel like I'm going to get blown up...but I can't figure out how to remove the windshield wiper controller knob in my '02. I pulled on it pretty hard and nothing so I started searching and...nothing.

Any advice is much appreciated.

I asked the same question here several months ago. I did not get a response either. I hope someone can help. I want to check to see if the controller is connected or if the relay needs replaced.

Scary hard to pull off. I use both hands and pull straight back. Make sure you don't pull the trim piece behind it too hard. It has four clips that lock it in place, one is larger than the others to clock it (easy to tell which way it goes because the symbol on front should be right side up and level).

Maybe there's another way to do it, I don't know. I did the same search as you, since at some point I'm going to change my lighting to blue, and eventually I just tugged it off revealing the amber light behind it.
