Help! Code p0343

Out of nowhere today on my way to work, my car started miss firing and died. I limped it back home. Running really bad. Sounding like an air cooled VW bad. I pulled the codes and it's P0343. Also miss firing on all cylinders. I'm reading that it could be as simple as a faulty electrical connection. Please tell me that the IMS couldn't cause such a fault. Where do I begin in diagnosing it. I don't even know where to find it.

P0343 is the Cam Position Sensor (Bank 1) above signal limit.

Sent you a PM.

Regards,
paul...

Ok, pulled the connector. There is 12v running down the signal wire with the key on. So now all I need to know is, how this wire runs through the firewall and where it plugs into the DME.
