Clutch pedal sticking?

I own an '00 boxster and have owned it for the past 8k miles of it's life (99k) and recently the clutch pedal started sticking down when fully pressed in, and today it started sticking no matter how far I push it in, on every shift. My question is, is this a clutch replacement problem? Or could it be something else? I've looked at some other threads and couldn't really find a straight answer.

I would first try bleeding the clutch hydraulic system since it sounds as if either the clutch master or slave cylinders isn't doing its job.

worst case scenario, bad slave cylinder.
most likely, air/moisture in the system.
when was the last time hydraulic fluid was changed?

Check for fluid under the car behind the drivers front wheel well. I had a leaking clutch hose.

If it's not air in the hydraulics than it could be the return spring at the end of the pedal arm.

The question is - is the CLUTCH sticking? Or just the pedal? If the clutch isn't engaging, then it could be the clutch hanging on the spline.
