Thursday night I was dropping off a buddy of mine to his home. I was driving and switching lanes and heard a loud pop sounds. Next thing I know I am spinning and I hit the median on the high way. Turns out my driver side rear tire had exploded. I have pilot sports all around. Not sure of the age, I have not changed the tires since i bought the car last year.
Both air bags deployed
Front bumper gone
Bent frame for sure
I contacted my insurance and they are handling it.
These cars are pretty damn safe and both my friend and I walked away without a scratch.
Not sure what the outcome of the insurance adjuster would be. Glad we were both safe and wearing our seat belts!
Sorry to hear, glad you are ok! These cars do seem to be pretty safe from the results posted on this forum. There does seam to be a rash of bad news lately. Everybody be careful out there!
