Door sills...hard to remove ?

Mine have the rubbery coating coming off, no matter how much I clean the carpet there always seems to be some there. Im thinking of painting mine with some satin plastic coat paint or something like it. It has to be an improvement over the flaking scaling originals. I do not see any screws...and I have never removed one of these...is it difficult ?

Which door sills are you referring to? The ones that say boxster in the middle, or the inner sill that consists of the trunk openers? The exterior sills are very difficult to remove as they are secured tightly with double sided tape. I'm not sure about the interior sill, but think a few plastic rivets hold that one in place.
