I find if I let the car idle for a minute or two after a spirited ride , I don't get smoke the next day and I also have a new AOS .

I have had my Boxster 14 months and it has smoked 3 or 4 times in that entire time. As a rule it never smokes on startup. I hate the way they sound on startup however...like a worn out 70's era motorcycle...but every Porsche I have ever heard sounds that way.
