Solid Rock / Goanna
|
|
Genesis. Lots of early Genesis.
|
Boxsters have radios and CD players?:D
|
Normal driving my radio stays on 98.9 The Rock here in Kansas City, but when I'm hitting my favorite twisties, radio goes off.

All Along the Watchtower ------Jimi Hendrix !

Black strobe - Folsom prison blues (the lisp or whatever fits the car)
"Sand dance" by temples "Into the void" by nine inch nails (you have to have some period music!) Angel - shaggy (period music) Three last links for some interesting songs http://youtu.be/SU0Ypufo6BM http://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ http://youtu.be/07P538K83iU |
I grew up with computers, circuit bending and any thing with heavy synth, so anything like:
edIT Jega Infected Mushroom Glitch Mob Boreta Kraddy Mochipet Matty G Ooah I know I'm strange |
Top down Afro-Latino rock.
|
Hmm the best song to blare is the flat 6 behind me.. It goes something like brraaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPP BRAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPP. :D
|
Nothing quite like 70's hard rock
Anything like this for cruising around, although the flat 6 symphony rocks it out really nice in the twisties.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GcCNcgoyG_0 I was 10 when this was released. |

Machine Head by DEEP PURPLE!!

Let the 80's role IMO. A little Bryan Adams Summer of 69 followed by some Huey Lewis. Anything harder seems to make the car go too fast - those songs seem to sing nicely within legal speed limits!
|
With the top up/commuting, I end up listening to podcasts.
Top down is another story all together.... Oingo Boingo Offspring Police Beatles The Clash Guns and Roses Nine Inch Nails Led Zepplin Beach Boys The Cure Just about anything "alternative" from the 80's |
Frankenstein, Edgar Winter Group.
|
Haven't had my car for that long. But, so far it's "Johnny Guitar", From Johnny Winter's "Hey, Where's Your Brother?" album. Tends to make you pick up speed.
|
On the rare occasion I want to listen to music in a Boxster, I have a few depending on my mood:
Get It To Go (Maynard Ferguson) I'm Gonna Live Til I Die (Frank Sinatra version) William Tell Overture (Gioachino Rossini) Clutch (The Seatbelts) Tunak Tunak Tun (Daler Mehndi) Guitar Boogie (Tommy Emmanuel) Midnight Blue (Kenny Burrell) LaGrange (ZZ Top) Take Your Love And Shove It Up Your Big Fat Ass! (Joe Pesci) |
I either end up tuning out the music or have nothing but the engine revs :)
