Rear Fog lights are only installed on the drivers side of the car .
So in fog you can tell the position of the car in front , and to differentiate them from brake lights . ( it has been this way since before cars started having 3rd brake lights fitted)
There are many people that try changing bulbs etc before asking for advice to get their 2nd fog light working as they think there must be a problem with their car .

I'm not sure I understand why people don't read their owner's manual ![Confused](http://www.986forum.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif) . I read mine twice online while I had to wait 2 weeks to pick up the car!

And did you know you have parking lights that will turn on on one side of the car or the other? It's so when you are parked on the side of the road, you illuminate the side that closest to the roadway only.

More or less all european cars have parking lights .
Normally you leave an indicator on before you remove the key and that side of the car stays on .

Oh, and BTW, before you ask, it is normal for the two scoops on the sides of the bodywork aft of the doors to look different. The driver's side is an intake, the passenger side is only to vent the engine compartment.

The rear fog light is a brighter red light on the drivers side tail light, right? Looks sort of like a brake light on one side?
