Installed spoiler switch
Today I installed a spoiler switch and a garage door switch. I don't have the garage door switch hooked up yet but the spoiler switch moves the rocker from the footwell to the dash, where it should have been in the first place.
I also fixed my broken ignition switch today, using this:

Nice job. I also installed the spoiler switch. It was a PITA to complete but worth the effort in the end.

I still have my CD 220. I listen to the exhaust, not a friggin' radio!

I never said there was anything wrong with the original haha, mine stays off as well haha. Out of all the cars i looked at on the used market searching for mine, non had the original radio.

Both off of ebay. The spoiler rocker was part of a kit.

My spoiler switch was already done when I got the car, but with crimp on spade connectors. I added the garage door switch and put the transmitter in the windshield pilar. For about $15 I found an Audi wiring harness that had 4 of the correct plugs for the back of the switches and soldered those in instead of crimped spades. Now I don't have to label each wire if I need to disconnect them for any reason.

What do you need another spoiler switch for anyway? To more easily raise the spoiler while driving around town at 25 mph  ?

Heliguy is a pilot by trade. Some of us likes to refer to him as Captain
Having a switch makes it feel more "natural" for a pilot I'm just guessing. I also have a feeling that, unlike myself, he is the type of guy who can feel the drag difference even at 25mph.
Or maybe the automation system was fried on his car and he prefers the switch mode over the stock speed-limited mode. I would go for both options if I could

I don't think I've ever used my switch while in motion, but regularly use it when washing the car in the driveway. The stock switch would work just fine for that. I don't think I've ever used the heated mirrors, or central lock button either, but I like buttons and switches.

I didn't even know I needed a spoiler switch till I saw that. I always wonder whether it is working and turning around to try to see it at speed is not recommended.

The speed mode still works and the rocker switch makes it a one-touch operation. There is a light on the button so I don't need to wonder if it's all the way up or all the way down.
I also hate having blank buttons on the dash, that's why I will also be installing a footwell lighting switch in the remaining blank switch location.

+1 on that. My car came with an aftermarket radio, and it looked so out of place that I found an original Porsche radio and replaced it so the dash would look right. I don't think I've ever used it after testing the installation.

The spoiler still raises with speed so I have the best of both worlds. The new rocker is a one touch operation and has a light on it, so I no longer need to guess if my spoiler is all the way up or down. The light blinks when the spoiler is in motion and is solid red when the spoiler is up, off when it is down.
I hate having blank rockers on my dash and would prefer to have buttons that activate at least something (I guess that's the pilot in me). The remaining blank switch will replaced by a footwell light rocker.

I do really hate the blank buttons. Does porsche still do that today? It seems the new ones have so many switches, particularly the panamera.
