Climate control issue

The theft control unit on my 98 box recently went out. Dealership replaced it reprogrammed the system. Don't know or think any of this is related, but when I got it back, the climate control is not working. Everything lights up as it should, but no blower motor function. Had it back at the mechanics yesterday for a while, he pull the blower motor, tested it and it works.
Any ideas? Checked the fuses and all are ok. A relay maybe, or the unit itself bad?

Need to resolve this so I can sell.
Thanks
Jim

On a side note, the auto trunk release is also inop now....

I had this issue when my M531 alarm control and DME unit was replaced in my 1998 986.

The car may be in Transport Mode. Interior lights (and delay timer) also didn't work, nor did some electrical features.

Dealer had to use their PIWIS to turn this mode off. This mode is used during transport from Europe so the car will drain less electrical power during long term transit. I don't think Durametric can turn this off.
