A/C snowflake button

Hi All,
I am having an issue with my a/c. It functions as normal in either auto or manual modes with +/- buttons to control fan speed and temp, but I cannot turn off the a/c by pushing the snowflake. In other words, when I push the snowflake button the icon remains lit. In addition, the defrost button doesn't function either. Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks,
Sam

Could be a bad control unit if the buttons are unresponsive. Can't say I'm familiar with the issue, though.

Try pulling and re-seating the 4 connectors on the rear.

Before reinstalling, check operation. If that didn't fix it, remove unit, remove 3 screws that hold faceplate on, remove 7 screws that attach circuit board to faceplate and inspect button contacts for debris or gunk.

Thank you! I will try this evening.

I removed the unit and there are 2 plugs in the back of the unit-there are 4 receptacles. Is this correct or are there two plugs hiding somewhere in the dash? Otherwise, I am thinking of ordering a replacement control unit. Any help is appreciated.
