I fully agree. I was always under the hood of my Mustangs, Volvos, anything I owned before I was lucky enough to be able to afford a new Porsche.

Honda Civics are easy to work on and they are much more reliable than our V8 Fords and Chevys were. Nowadays the kids are working on making the car look modified in addition to (or in place of) making it faster. In a way, the visual modifications almost make more sense - you are customizing your ride, but you can enjoy it without driving like a jerk.

I am all for it as long as everyone stays safe and has fun.
