another IMS question...

Sorry for another dumb repeat question, I searched around, but couldn't find the answer...

What production year model did Porsche resolve the IMS bearing issue?

The 2009 Boxster and Caymen got the 9A1 engine which does not have an IMS bearing issue.

Hey, Chris.

Long story short:

Porsche Settles IMS Class-Action Lawsuit, Excludes My Boxster S - The Truth About Cars

In other words, from 2006 onward the problem is too infrequent to warrant payment under the class action settlement agreement.

Cheers,

and btw ,the IMS is a relatively solvable problem that affects different years to varying degrees.
With the 2009+ cars there are a bunch of issues with/wo Sport Chrono
