Boxster-911 headlight swap?

the plastic lens in my 2000 Boxster headlights has cracked, anybody ever try to swap the entire pod with a set off a 911?
They hold a glass lens don't they?

what about a Litronic set from another Boxster? will they plug in, or is there some differences from the Halos?

If you're just replacing one lamp, be aware that there are some minor differences inside the lamp. It's hard to describe, but the silver reflective area on some of the lamps are a diamond type pattern where as others have more of a stripe pattern. Again, hard to tell but when I bought a replacement lamp (prior to my LEDs) it was definitely different and I never installed it.
