I have H&R springs. Should I install them?

I have stock non-sport suspension, and I think it's too high. I am afraid I will end up with the opposite (too low).

I love my H&R springs, working great with bilstein HD's rears and stock struts up front now, not too stiff. Scraping is not bad, just need to be careful going over some dips at right speed and approach angle. Actually I would like a bit lower if I could for the look, but probably practical as is.

I resprung my E36 many years ago with H&R and really like it, my Boxster is nearing the point where it will need this soon and I was thing the same thing that you just posted.

For a data point, I can tell you I put the ROW M030 suspension kit on my S and after 8 months I can say I love it. I kept the old suspension since it only had 64k miles or so. NOW I'll be moving and won't have an unfinished basement to keep "all my good stuff" I gave the suspension pieces away. The springs went to a forum member who wanted to go back to stock from the H&R springs, but I can't say why that is, perhaps roads are too bumpy or he was scraping too much.

Are they the right length to get the ride height you want?
Are they the right spring weight to get you the ride you want?

Just changing springs without confirming these things will probably end badly. I had H&R springs added to my 09 Cayman to firm up suspension and lower the ride height 1" all around. I trusted the setup shop to make these decisions and do a final corner balance and alignment and am happy with the results.

I have stock suspension on S model and would not consider anything other than Bilstein or Row 30 since these have shown satisfaction consistently by many
