I got one hell of a deal on it to which I am so grateful for. I'm not like most teens of my generation. I am not stupid and careless like others. I have priorities that I hold high above anything else. I consider my self smart with my hard earned money and what I do with it. My dream and everyday drive to keep it going is becoming the owner of a company that started from one simple idea. But I don't want to sit here and bore you with my life long goal. But some day I will get there, me and my little blue Boxster. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1395113424.jpg

Not to bust your stones or anything, but it looks like your vehicle registration expired in January. So be smart, and spend your hard earned money on getting it registered. :)

The old registration must have been in the PO's name. Is the car in your name yet? Gotta pay that sales tax, you know? ;)

Just sayin'...........

Had a cordless
Got a busy signal
Dialed only 7 numbers
Remember the cost of long distance
Bargain hunted for long distance plans
Had to change a phone number when moving to a new state

or

Had black'n'white
Had color
Remember time before Cable
etc.

;)

That just about sums it up

Yes everything is and was in my name when the picture was taken. The picture was taken before it expired and after the front bumper was replaced.

+1. Such great wisdom.

And be advised that 99% of what you see, hear, or read is BS. It's up to you, as an intelligent individual, to discern what isn't.

where are all the old gummers?

I guess this means that while I am racking up about 40 thousand Porsche miles a year and enjoying the hell out of it that most of the other over 70 YOA old gummers are where? Sitting on a porch ( instead of a Porsche ) in florida waiting to croak? My theory is that you will never regret the things you did, but you will regret the things you didn't do.

I hope they are out driving ... And they don't know how to hook up their typewriters to the inter web to tell us about it.

:D

Davev, your post is offensive. I've got more seat time in more Porsche models than you probably will ever achieve. I drive it hard and often. Ditto E tools.

Mark_T 03-26-2014 06:24 AM

I must be missing something... what is offensive about Davev saying he hopes the older folks are out driving? Seems like a nice enough sentiment to me.

I think there are too many people that try a little too hard to find a reason to take offense.

Dunno dude, I've sure done a few things I've regretted over the years ( but I think I know what you're saying - carpe diem!)

IMO what makes his comment offensive is the use of the term "gummers." If he was trying to be cute/funny, the use of an appropriate emoji would have been helpful, otherwise it would be considered a pejorative term.

Although I am getting close to that age group, I still have all of my teeth.:D
