I think they would look good on your car. Full disclosure dictates I say that I really dislike the ones you have currently.

Please keep your opinions coming.

What would you all say is a fair price for a near perfect set with out tires?

Perfectlap 02-10-2014 09:08 AM

18" OEM wheels with no dents or curb rash? $900 - $1,200 depending on zip code.

I cracked one of my factory Carreras and had to find a replacement wheel. Cheapest I could find was one very used wheel that required a repaint (not included) for $500.
18" and 19" OEM wheels fetch good money. I always check Ebay to see if there are any bids on similar wheels or if the same wheel just sits there with a buy it now that none are nipping at.

could not have said it better myself. I think your new wheels are the 2nd best OEM wheel after the 03-04 CarreraII :)

$750 should a good price. Nobody knows how perfect they are until each bare wheel is test balanced on a wheel balancer

JAAY 02-10-2014 10:16 AM

Thank you guys. I would probably be selling my wheels in the near future if anyone is interested. I have to see how I like these first. I have to order tires and all that non sense also. If I do pick them up they will sit dormant in my garage till the spring. I am going to see these wheels tomorrow. If they are good I will have pics of them in my tundra :)

JAAY 02-10-2014 10:17 AM

BTW, these wheels will cut my car wash time down by at least 10 mins.

Exactly, I think about those things before I buy cars. I made the mistake once. I bought wheels with many spokes, 10 or more, and they were a pain to clean.

No brainer, those Cayman wheels look absolutely awesome. I love my OEM 18" Carreras but these are very cool. Definitely look better on the car the the wheels you have now.

JAAY 02-10-2014 12:46 PM

I do like the wheels I have now but want something different. I'm getting bored of the look. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1392068782.jpg

JAAY, might depend on location as far as pricing. I have seen sets of Cayman 5 spoke sell for $600, with tires (maybe 35% tread). They pop up every now and then on craigslist in DFW.

JAAY 02-10-2014 01:47 PM

Thanks for the info. I found a local set about 10 miles from me for 800.00 that have center caps and no tires. They are supposedly perfect. I will see tomorrow.
