Snowboots in Your Boxster

First of all.... you Florida, Arizona and So Cal guys.... quiet!! we get it. You put up with your nutters and/or high taxes all summer for these precious four months of mild weather.

For us rugged types, what kind of boots are you using to drive in?
I picked up these Columbia Bugaboots and they're great (VERY light) but not ideal as they cover over too much pedal.

So what are you wearing? (that you can drive with)
$100

Might be a bit tough to heel & toe in those...here's what I drive in during the winter (in my Jeep GC).

I routinely drive in standard issue Timberland boots.

No probs with heel and toe - do anything enough and you'll get the hang of it.

My job doesn't require "rugged", but we do get snow.

I picked up these which I wear 2-3x/week. Generally, a very comfortable chukka.:

I have the S six speed, and I drive in the same shoes/boots that I drive my pickup truck in, i.e. Sorel pac boots, hiking boots, even randonee (alpine touring) ski boots. You just have to be careful you are pressing on the pedal you think you are ! I bet an automatic transmission would be easier!

I don't drive my Box during winter time, she's so delicate!

I don't consider myself in So Cal so here it goes... I always wear these during the winter months:

The heel - Toe action is not too bad.

Sorry, can't see this happening in randonee boots :

Scarpa Maestrale Randonee Boots - Men's - 2011/2012 - Free Shipping at REI.com

However I'm sure I could do a mean heel/toe in my teleboots with all that toe flex :

Obviously I only do that when I'm going skiing, which is only 10 minutes from my house with a maximum of 2 stoplights. My Garmont Megalights are a 3 buckle boot, and with everything loose, I can flex my ankle just fine. No heel/toe though! Here's a pic:

I sport a pair of 6" Timberlands with composite toes. Much lighter than steel, and not as cold in the winter. I wear them all winter and keep them in the trunk with my hard hat and vest during the summer. The comments I get showing up to construction site meetings in a Porsche are priceless.

I just wear my normal shoes in the snow

But that being said, I do live on the west coast of Canada. We get almost no snow
