Serious question and no disrespect intended.. Here we go:

So I've noticed that people who have a gym membership awkwardly insert into normal everyday conversation totally unnecessarily references to/about their gym activities. The above quote as a classic example. The destination (gym) is completely irrelevant to the thread (about as much as my post is now huh) and yet it was mentioned twice. Gym people also love to have their gym membership barcode card thing on their keychain as a constant billboard that they go to a gym.

How's your mother doing?
I just called her on my way to the gym yesterday, she's doing great!

What's for dinner?
I'll make a protein bar salad when I get home, from the gym.

What's your favorite color?
I like red. Red reminds me of the red mats at the gym.

There's nothing else that gets so awkwardly forced into conversation the "the gym" .. Nobody talks about their prostrate examination like that- you'd just say "I was driving and heard some creaking..."

LOL, ok I'm done! All in fun.

Anyone notice all the newbies lately that start useless repeat threads when if they had searched they would get better info without cluttering up the forum??
