Steering Wheel Swap?

Just curious, would it be possible to put the 2000 or newer 3 spoke wheel on a 99 or earlier model?

I'm planning on moving towards alcantara.

Then I'll add 3M Di-Noc carbon wrap over the door pocket lids and center console.
And I'm defintiely going to get rid of the God awful carpeting on the doors and swap with alcantara as well. The footwell area will be free of carpeting as well, I'm thinking of using an old school dark grey material used on a 911 restorations, hides dirt pretty well. Anything but black down there.
