And yes, I just used a broom :) The broom is brand new and is only used to brush off new snow so just calm your tits :p

When I lived in California I could surf in the morning, drive for an hour and a half or so to go skiing that night. Had mountains to go 4wheling in, desert to ride dirt bikes. Could SEE all of the seasons without actually having to live in them.

But I think there is a reason that FLorida has all of those "snow birds". If I never have to shovel a drive, I will be OK:cheers:

The boyz in the south don't get the privilege to go out "slowly & smoothly" drifting a rwd car on fresh fallen snow ;) mouhahah

I really hope you southern car guys could give this snow & car drifting game a try at least 'once' in your life. Try, you'll see what I mean

80 degrees again today, air conditioning kicked-in at my office. The forecast is 81 tomorrow, 82 on Thursday, and 80 on Friday. I drove home from work with the top down this evening… I will probably have to do it again tomorrow. I sure wish it would snow soon.

I don't envy you that hour and a half drive with 100,000 other people on a crowded freeway! I love living in the 4 seasons. Summers are 85 degrees with really long days. Autumn is cool but beautiful with the trees changing color, and elk, deer and bird hunting seasons. Winter: I love it too. I can keep in shape shoveling snow (when it snows, which certainly isn't every day) and splitting firewood. And of course there are downhill, Randonee (backcountry) and cross country skiing. My gym is outdoors :dance:!! Spring is corn snow skiing and of course the beginning of hiking and climbing season.

Many years ago I moved from Tucson where I was born. Here in Wyoming I can always put on more clothes when it gets cold, but I could only (legally) take off so much in Tucson. Highs over 100 degrees for months; you can have it :D!!

There's nothing like taking in a big breath of ice cold 25-30 degree air on a brisk winter morning! Love it! :D

Hey, anyone pining for the snow should come and visit me. We have a prairie blizzard blowing in tonite that is expected to last for two days. Usually when they say blizzard it means the snow is moving horizontally and visibility is down to a few feet. However, because this is Winnipeg (as in, not Toronto), almost no-one will miss work, traffic will move as usual, and we will not require the assistance of the military. And, when it's over, I get to fire up my big-ass snowblower and go play. Woot!

If you guys think its a tough winter in the US / Canada, just think of us poor people in Australia - Adelaide had 46*C (115*F) yesterday and over 50*C (124*F) for us in the centre Queensland a few days ago..... The bird and bat population dropping dead from heat exhaustion, bush fires, etc etc. The hot northerly winds bowing in from the Simpson Desert and Red Centre are the killers.
Too hot even to drive with the hood down.

That's why I wouldn't live in L.A. again. But up on the Central Coast of California (Santa Maria, San Luis Obispo) you don't have the traffic. Same thing where I am in Florida. I wouldn't live in Orlando, the roads would make me crazy.

I also agree that Autumn is beautiful with the changind colors, and it would be nice to have more of that, but not at the expense of those dang winters.:p

As for Tucson, or any "desert" place, I also agree. I couldn't deal with months of that heat. It is a dry heat, but still......dayum. The humidy can be a beast in Florida too.

It is a good thing we don't all agree on the best place to live. Can you imagine THAT traffick?!

So MLK day was warm enough to wash the salty Boxster. Forecast was for Snow the next day and super cold for the next couple of weeks. So I wasn't driving it soon. Bought a cover and put her in the garage and covered her up until the roads clear
This is by no means a Winter hibernation. First chance I get, the covers off and out the door I go
