Hitachi Lithium 1/2 inch impact wrench

Anyone have one? Just wondering if I should buy one.

I heard Ridgid has free battery replacements, but they cost more too.

I have a gift certificate coming for Amazon.com and that's where I'm shopping at the moment.

I'll be using this tool to remove the wheels off my three cars, which I seem to do all the freakin' time now it seems! However, I won't be using it all day every day like a full time mechanic.

Not sure about the Hitachi, but I have the Makita version and it works great. More than enough power to do the job. I have a brother-in-law that is an electrician, and he swears by Makita cordless tools.

I bought a DeWalt 18V kit exactly like this one on Ebay over the summer, VERY happy with it:

Dewalt DW059K 2 1 2" Drive 18V Cordless XRP Impact Wrench Kit | eBay

I believe I paid $230 Delivered, the lot of 10 (they were new, NOT reconditioned) sold out in a day or two. Randall, you will REALLY like this tool, I have used it more than I thought I would. It makes rotating tires (we're up to 6 cars in our house with kids' cars included) a 5 to 10 minute job.

Personally I would get an air setup. Pic up a compressor 17gal from harbor fright and buy the meanest impact wrench that craftsmen makes. I kind of did. Came out to be $79 for the compressor and $130 for the wrench.
