Talking Finally decided to pick up a 99 Boxster 114k miles -pics

I might as well let my first noob post be a photo and description of my 1999 Porsche Boxster.
I got a stellar deal on it and I'm just thrilled to finally be a Porsche owner.
Yes!! Another German automobile to add to my fleet.
I have a number things I want to do to it in terms of upgrades etc.

Wheels are next on my Boxster and I was actually thinking about doing Carrera wheels.

Good choice! My last box had stock wheels so I powder coated the gloss black. I have carerra light wheel on my 03 and going to have this powder coated gunmetal grey. You can do so much to the look of your car with wheels!

Welcome to the forum. Pics without being asked - impressive. It looks very clean and trust it will work out for you. We were in the San Fran area a few years back and saw a Boxster in the Belmont area and talked myself into buying one shortly after. Boxsters look really cool in California. Enjoy the ride!

Great choice! Have you decided if you will do the IMS upgrade? As a fresh Box owner, please tell me you have read up on the IMSB issues.

Nice car! You should have the double row IMSB in that car so the upgrade isn't quite as pressing as it might be for owners of later cars. Given your mileage, I would definitely have a look at the front motor mount pretty soon if it isn't done. If you do it, might as well do the water pump, coolant, and thermostat while you're in there.

If I might make a suggestion... I notice the amber section on your headlights is quite faded when compared to the corner pieces. My first cosmetic upgrade on the car would be clear headlights, side makers, and tail light lenses. I think that would make much more impact than new rims.

Again, that really is a very nice looking car. Welcome to the forum!

Mark

Any before pics?

The car looks fantastic!
I have a silver 2000 base with 98,400 miles on the odo, and many dings on the hood and front bumper.
Any chance you have photos of the car before the detailing you'd be willing to post?

Nice score. Beautiful car (looks like mine ). Here's what it'd look like with 18" Carrera II wheels:
