Hey ATX! Nice going. I just did a big maintenance job too. I had planned on doing the clutch no matter what but was hoping the flywheel would be ok... wasn't. The halves had 1cm of free play (click clunk, click clunk) before any resistance. The shop said that obviously they couldn't say how much longer it would last but that when the flywheel fails it usually takes the clutch with it.

Car had seen most of its miles in the first couple years but the second owner didn't drive it much and only changed oil every two years. However, my IMSB flange had no signes of any corrosion. See my write up here if you're interested:

Thats dependent upon the storage characteristics of the oil that you are using, and many other variables.

I plan to drive mine every few weeks this winter when the road is clean - just to keep things 'turned over'. I will put fresh oil in before 'storage', then I am subject to how tough a winter we have. Last winter I had a motorcycle and was able to get it out every few weeks. Other winters - might get socked in.
