Squeaky hard top hooks

I love my hard top. However, it squeaks when I go over bumps. It's at the 2 hooks at the front that engage the windshield frame. It fits fine and has settled in, plus I Gummi Pfledged all the rubber, so it's not that. I thought of wedging a bit of plastic where the hook fits in, since if I push up on it with my thumb while I'm driving, the squeak goes away. Or some black electricians tape around the hook, or maybe shoot some Tri-Flow or something in there. Or I could ignore it....

Oh what do all you wise Boxster hard top sages suggest?

Garage
I did the electrical tape thing with my rag top, as I had the same problem, and it pretty much silenced it. I like the "Tri-flow" idea, too -- maybe some lithium grease?

Maybe your hardtop is missing the 2 end caps; Part # 986 563 625 03 (I just bought my caps last week, less than $6 after tax for both) Hardtop Part - 986 Series Part Number Requests - RennTech.org Forums

evo-r, you're a genius. I definitely do not have those parts on mine. Boy do I love this forum ! $2.50 each from Pelican Parts.

LOL... I actually bought mine straight from my local Porsche dealer for the same price ($2.50 each) plus tax, but they did have to order them and got them 2 days later.
