I've seen a few tracked cars with the plasti dip. No issues from what I could see. As far as mounting that's tricky, the stuff is very thin and only takes a light tug to peel off. But respraying them around the edges only takes a few minutes. But if you're changing out that often you're probably better off using dupli-color wheel paint which is just as easy to put on with those new (and cheap) trigger handles. They come in really nice gun metals and bright colors.
