Fuel pump electrical burning?

There has been an electrical burning smell in my 01 base boxster lately and couldn't really pinpoint it and thought that it was the stereo as there have been a couple of stereo pro's in there lately that commented on the smell as well. I had trouble tracking it down by "following my nose" so I decided to have a look at the fuse box today to see if any fuses had blown... Much to my surprise there was a 30amp fuse where a 25amp fuse should be in the fuel pump position (C4 I believe), I immediately switched it out and have no idea how that had happened as I know how dangerous that could be.

I thought that this could also explain the strange fuel psi readings I have been getting as of late. Can anyone speculate at potential damage of this and where I should start looking for burning wires or damaged components?
