Since Ethanol ATTRACTS water….how can that be good for your car? Good for Congress and farmers, not so good for engines! IF I could buy it without Ethanol I would let my wallet do the voting but here in DFW I have not found and really GOOD GAS…except race fuel!

As a Canadian, I've been putting alcohol in all my vehicles for ever.... it's called gas line anti freeze and it basically takes the water and combines with it so you don't have water build up at the bottom of the tank. It also stops the fuel lines from freezing. Methanol or ethanol ,both are alcohols and do the same thing to water. As for the 10% stuff, most of ours just a bit below that (maybe 7 or 8%) and I use all the time. If I want 94 octane it's all there is, it has the same gas mileage as 92 octane and I believe it gave better performance in my Zees. (Z3 and Z4 BMW's) I haven't had the porsche long enough to see the difference.

another thought: the high percentage ethanol fuel (from corn) . you should know that it takes more energy to make the stuff than it gives back. In other words it's a negative energy conservation thing that is basically a con job by the agriculture people on the US govt. ( i worked for one of the biggest oil companies in the world until I retired last year so I had some contacts with a lot of knowledge about this )
