The 981 3.8L Thread.

I think we should have one... if we get a GT3 engine that should merit its own thread.

BGB Cayman 3.8L

RUF Boxster 3.8L

See the LN Engineering/ 6 Innovations powered 4.2 liter Cayman X in Panorama in a couple months.. No engine conversion here- we designed and built every part to create the 4.2 engine from the original 3.4 engine. Engine swaps are boring.

The photo shoot happened on Monday.
Here is Bob Chapman getting a shot by the river...

is it closed deck, or is it a pseudo closed deck as used by Roock, etc., due to the need to use liners with lips?

I believe all the 9A1 are true closed deck & Flat 6 just bores it to the max, safe limit, which results in 4.2L

ah ok, they're working with the new motors - shoulda picked that up by the 981 in the images - no hope for a 4.2 in a 986 then! I was kinda hoping they'd found a way to push the m96 out past 3.6.

And with Jack's 4.2 in a Boxster or Cayman, the reason for buying a new 911 would be what??????

Actually, the safe limit without our technology is much less. We found this the hard way, and others will too- we just did it while everyone else was afraid to. Taking engines apart with 11 miles on them isn't for the faint of heart, especially when there are no life lines, no directives and no tools to support you.

We can go bigger than 4.2, but the engine becomes inefficient, and when this occurs doing so makes no sense. Others believe that bigger is better and those guys never find the "sweet spot" because they aren't looking for it.

We can easily do a 4.0 from an M96 with the current technology and with something we are developing now that figure may extend beyond 4.2 liters, (safely) for the M96/97. We don't advertise much of anything and you won't find the data on the site, because all these copy catters just steal the info anyway. Those clowns didn't used to exist, they can only operate because we developed the products that they use (some of them). See below for some current street engine outputs, all tested on pump gas and fully muffled while remaining smog compliant.

That said, power output and more details about Cayman X will be spilled in Panorama, we have shared nothing about the car since day one just for the expose to tell the story. Nothing else on the planet like it exists. (Well, except the 2012 Cayman R that I am building to a 4.2 as we speak)
These are RWHP figures on a Dynojet here in house.
