Operate 986 top with remote?

I have searched and searched again and I came across several auto top mods that allow one touch convertible top operation, but none that allow remote controlled functionality on the 986. I see that it is possible with the newer cars with the Smart Top module. Has anyone figured it out? Or is it just not possible?

Cheers!

The 986 has a manual top latch (at the center of the upper windshield frame). I am not sure how that latch can be automatically released or re-latched. Otherwise, it would be fairly easy (as with the 981).

I think this falls into the category of "It could be done if you had enough time, technical skill and money." However, there probably isn't an inexpensive plug and play solution available.
