Anybody going to the May 10th Sebring DE?

The full event name is "Suncoast Florida Region PCA - Suncoast and Citrus Regions Unite at Sebring May 10th DE (Driver's Ed)"

It is a one day DE Saturday the 10th.

I think I am going! It will be my 3rd DE and first time at Sebring.

Anybody that has been to Sebring before, do I need to bring my canopy and camp chairs, or will there be covered seating (or even just seating) where we can relax between sessions and watch the other cars?

My new Hankook RS-3 are being delivered today. If I get them installed, will the drive down (220 miles) be enough to scrub off the mold release and break the tires in? Since I would be in the green group the first 30 minute session on track is "parade laps", whatever that is, maybe some sort of follow the leader/learn the track session? Maybe that would beak them in some more?

Thanks and hope to meet some folks from here down there.

Steve

Oh, I wish I could go to this. But alas, no helmet and no free time.

If your head can fit into a medium I've got an extra SA 2005 helmet. My son uses it for Autocross. I actually bought it from here from another member.

If you are in Jax then that means Roebling is only just a touch over 2 hours away. The next Florida Crown PCA is in the early fall, you should go! (My son will probably go to that so no loaner helmet, but Apex Performance could probably bring a loaner/rental if you call them ahead of time)

Appreciate the offer. But I'm pretty sure a medium wouldn't fit my huge noggin.

By fall I may have a helmet in place to hit up Roebling, I've been wanting to go with the other FCR members for quite a while.

If the seating above the pits is open that's a covered roof and great to view from. If those seats aren't open there is a small section of seats coming out of #17 onto the front stretch where the Porsche corral normally is but that's not covered. I would bring a chair as a minimum. Drove my one and only DE at Sebring it was a great experience. Enjoy !
