I have found a used PSE from 98, is just to bolt it on the car or is there vacuum lines like the ones on the newer models?

Some of the early cars had smaller diameter pipes than the later cars, so make sure it is going to fit your car. The vacuum system operates the system that quiets the car down, the default setting (no vacuum) is loud, so you don't really need to connect it.

I talked to the delar today and they only have the muffler part inc the vacuum vents.
So im searching for the parts i need.

The muffler it self is pretty cheap so mayby i stick with that .)

Anybody who have some info/pics on the controler thats producing vacuum?

It uses engine vacuum routed through a control unit that measures the car's speed.................

you could probably use the same mechanism and control signal as used by the resonance flapper on the intake to control a cutout on the exhaust - over 4000 rpm the cutout opens and bypasses the muffler. you would need to confirm that it could take the heat, need one on each side, and mebbe get a bigger vacuum tank to address the larger load.

Anyway there is some pics on the vacuum lines and a relay
So those parts is the parts im missing.

I found a German dealer thats sells different exhaust with vacuumvalves, with a bit of luck i can get te Control unit there.

Got to be careful about how you rig this up, several European countries have noise limits (in dB) at certain speed levels (KPH or MPH) that the system has to comply with to pass their version of inspection. To my knowledge, Switzerland is the worst in this department, and that was the benchmark the PSE with all the electronics and vacuum hook ups was designed to pass.

You could always buy the Pse box and turn it on and off remotely with an aftermarket key fob .....

I did not know that you still could buy the box.

Key fob remote , rather like an aftermarket alarm .

No, the OEM system shuts the bypass valves (via vacuum), and prevents them from opening, between speeds of 17 and 29 MPH to meet the Swiss legal sound standards................

You would have to fabricate the associated electronics for that to happen.

The speed control takes its command signal from the Ecu on my car and im presuming its the same on the boxster .

Most people want to get rid of it , not incorporate it !!! :)

But I'm thinking you have everything there allreAdy in the car to get hour signal and it would be a simple wiring job to make it happen with maybe a relay at worst .
