Kinda' needed that news. Power went out about 6 pm and didn't come back on until 1 am. Good storm though. Several downed trees in the neighborhood, but mine just lost a few branches. I ran into the garage to put my top up as 90% of the time, the top is down when it's in the garage, but this time it was up. Luckily, the garage held up anyway.

I looked up the score that evening on my phone and saw it was 2-1 Bruins with 5 minutes left in the 3rd. A couple minutes later I went outside to grab a smoke and heard about every car in the neighborhood honking their horns and setting off their car alarms (no power so I guess everyone was in their cars listening to the game). I figured they must have tied it up at the last minute.

Came back in and checked my phone and saw those were victory honks. Very nice.

Go Hawks!

Complete meltdown by the Bruins at the end. Up 2-1 with less than 2 minutes to go to send the series to game 7, the Bruins had just killed a a power play and then the Hawks promptly scored 2 goals in 17 seconds to win 3-2.

Wow, the Bruins were excellent! What an adversary. The Blackhawks were just a little bit better in 4 of the 6 games. Boston should be very proud too.

One of the most competitive finals of any sport I have seen in recent history. I thought it would go seven games but glad the Hawks were able to seal the deal early. My wife is a Chicago native and we have a lot of family there. My Boxster license plate frame is none other than a Chicago Cubs one. It is our home away from home. Love the Windy City!
