Personalized or not?
Sometimes I wish my Boxster had a personalized plate. How many of you have something descriptive about your ride so those from behind will have to notice? I think I would do something with 986 in the title. I suppose some think it vain to have a personalized plate but, hey, we drive Porsches so we have that right!

Go for it... Here is mine:
I have been driving up and down the coast of California, with this plate on the Jägermobile, hoping someone from this site will flag me down so I can buy them a beer (or beverage of their choice).

In the Philippines, you only get to buy a personalized plate when the car is first registered. After that, the 3 letters-3 numbers format gets carried by the car for the rest of its life!
I was lucky to get the car with the plate BD_ 986! . I don't think the letters stand for anything though.

I get plenty unwanted Porsche envy already without fanning the flames with clever messages.
I do spring for the CA plate with the beach scene @ $40 extra annually.

mine is EYW 986 EYW is the airport code for the city I live in and of course we know what 986 is.
My 944 was CAPTBONZ, Capt because I'm a boat captain and BONZ because I've had the nickname "Bonez" for most of my life
My 911 was 79 911 That was because that is what it was LOL (I could not believe that that plate was available) I don't have the car any more but the plate is on my wall.

Kids gave it to me last year, kept it on the car for a year and did not renew it. Thought it was funny and all, just not a personalized plate kind of guy......

...more fun personalized... You should have names for your cars! She's gorgeous and should be treated as such!

Ok, you all have convinced me that i need to personalize so help me come up with some clever plate. There are the obvious ones, BOXSTER, 02 986, any others? I like JD's, it is a classic.

L BOOM was mine.
It is a joke from the book Ulysses by James Joyce.
After six years they were both stolen while I was in a restaurant.
What did they mean to the thief? Mexican revolutionary?

I'm digging "Lord Vader". If my car were black it would be named "Darth Boxster"
