You know, English is not Everyone's first language, and the original post reads a lot like something written by one of my older relatives.

So, give the guy a break.

But gluing a spoiler on another spoiler? That's dumb . . .

if you get one like this, it should allow the current one to deploy at 75 without getting in the way...

plus the extra side skirts really fill the car out, which is what makes the whale tail look so nice.

There is a decent looking rear wing for the Boxster which will not interfere with the original spoiler. Will look for pictures

The oem spoiler from the aero kit II isn't bad. And, there are numerous aftermarket knock-off versions of it for cheap. You do have to disable the original spoiler however.

This is what you don't want. :barf:

My spoiler comes up when I just push a button (also when I go fast). Doesn't everyone have the button? I have to push the button, or turn off the engine, to make the spoiler go down. Was that new in 2009's?

Nope. It's there on the early models too. I think it goes all the way to the 97, but can't say for sure. Mines a 99 and has it, but it is for deployment only (up) so far as I know. I don't think you can use it to close a deployed spoiler above 75 Mph. To disable it requires additional work. Maybe a PST2 or Durameteris to turn it off without a fault code.

I just push it again and it goes down. But if I'm going above 75, I don't want it to go down right that minute . . . :)

That is just criminal damage, you should be locked up if you butcher a Boxster in that way.

Anyone knows what's the time delay for the 75mph spoiler activation/deactivation? If someone stays around 74-76mph, I wonder how the spoiler will react?

rene525d 05-19-2013 12:00 PM

It will only go down when you reach 50 or less. So it goes up at 75 and remains so till you slow down to 50 or less.
