reason Rear tires angled out?

I have a 99 boxster tip with 75k. the rear wheels are angled outward where they contact the road. Would this be caused by worn droplinks? If so can anyone recommend a reasonably priced replacement? I have seen the Tennets but they are very expensive. How are the TRW replacements?

You should have some camber. Without seeing how much you have, it's impossible to tell if it is correct.

Can you tell us whether your car has excessive toe or camber? See diagrams below.

Also, can you describe how much they are angled out? A photo would really help. Thanks.

Toe

Camber

Wait, th and particle, are you saying we are all supposed to have crooked wheels?

Why? What kind of crazy is that?

Toe in on front tires helps keep you going in a straight line(little or no toe in will make the front end wander side to side), camber is to reduce side force on axles and suspension during turns and increase traction(the outside wheel will become more perpendicular with the road). Without camber, the outer edge of your tire would wear very quickly and the rear end would loose traction much easier.

All cars are this way, some more, some less
