Well, if you can't trust CR to tell you about fun, who CAN you trust...?

Although in truth, I don't actually disagree with their list...

Hard to believe that the 911 (any 911) isn't on their list.

It really isn't hard for me to believe. I have both boxsters and a 911 and I find the boxster actually more fun to drive. Better balance.

I've never driven a Z4, but I find it hard to believe of all the cars in the world, it appears on their least fun to drive. Must be as a comparison of expected enjoyment versus actual experience.

I test drove one before I found the Boxster. The ride is akin to riding one of those wooden roller coasters that beats the crap out of you, and the "handling" reminds me of my first car...a 1967 Olds.

Very unpleasant.

Fairly ridiculous list.

Only one Audi I can see, the A6, which isn't at all fun to drive. Nice car. But not fun. A 750Li is definitely more fun than a A6, but that's in the least fun list.

Anyway, the fact is, most people are pretty clueless about cars and these kinds of popularity lists are all the same - tenuous link to merit at best, often inversely proportion. Just observe the most popular films, music, TV shows, whatever. Mostly junk.

Camaro is classified as a "muscle car"? The new ZL1 Camaro on ordinary street tires is lapping VIR GC faster than a 991 S PDK, faster than a 997.2 Turbo Carrera and on track rubber would probably quicker than a 997.2 GT3 RS....all cars costing over or near $100K. That's what I call a Super Sports Coupe at a blow out bargain price.

Also, anyone here that would have more fun lapping Sebring in a Ford Focus ST over a Cayman S please raise your hand. C&D apparently believe there's a room full of you somewhere...

The latest edition of CR actually has the Boxster on the cover. They tested 4 "roadsters" Base Boxster, Benz SLK, Audi TT and the Z4

The Boxster scored the highest With a score of 89, the benz with an 81 the audi an 80 and the Z4 a 76.
I normally do not look at CR but a boxster on the cover caught my eye!
