CDR-23 Aux Input Modification

Hi all,

I absolutely love my '03 986, have had her since she was new. If I could change something, (well other than more HP, but that's an endless pursuit) I would like the ability to play digital music files through the factory CDR-23. I am a huge fan of keeping the car stock, and thus I don't want to replace the head unit. I am considering the Dension Gateway, but came across this:

They claim that they can perform this mod on the CDR-23 with a MOST fiber optic ring, and For $100.00 this would be a very satisfactory solution for me. Has anyone had experience with this?
